COMMITMENT TO A CAUSE  AND  HOW GOD SUSTAINS A LEADER:

LESSONS FROM THE BOOK OF EXODUS (Ex 2:11-4:20)

God affirms a leader through the support of others e.g. Jethro affirmed Moses when he (Moses) shared his experience with him.

God gives any leader faithful and loyal supporters like Jethro, Aaron and others in the life of Moses. Their responsibility is to offer every help to the leader.

• God builds on the leader’s strengths, experiences and background e.g. God used everything in Moses background to help him fulfil his calling and dream.

• God is the one that instils the value of handwork on a leader (dealings with Pharaoh confirms this in the life of Moses).

• He sustains a leader with a powerful vision; e.g. vision of the journey to the Promised Land.

God brings others alongside the leader to compensate for their weaknesses; i.e. is why God sent Aaron, Joshua and Hur as Moses supporters.

• Finally God helps the leaders emotions with the support and assistance of those around him.

You are or can be any of the above in Overcomer’s faith Centre. The key is that they operated in an atmosphere of love and loyalty. That is commitment.
